Q. Can I get my container(s) reviewed?
A. Yes. Containers are covered as part of the Skinning Review. Unless otherwise specified, containers are treated the same as skins for the purposes of the DotNetNuke Review Program.
Q. How much does it cost to get a product reviewed?
A. The table below lists the standard pricing for the Review Program. We may also run promotions with special pricing or additional incentives.
Standard Prices:
| Review Type |
Cost |
| Modules |
$99 |
| Skins |
$49 |
Introductory Prices*:
| Review Type |
Cost |
| Modules |
$59 |
| Skins |
$29 |
*NOTE: Introductory pricing was supposed to end on Aug 31, 2006 - BUT HAS BEEN EXTENDED!
Q. What if my product does not pass the review? Do I need to pay to have it retested?
A. No. We anticipate that some quality issues may arise during our review and will allow a product to be re-tested one (1) time without any additional fees. If the product does not pass on the second attempt, then you will need to pay again to have it re-tested.
Q. How often do I need to have my product tested in order to maintain my "DotNetNuke Reviewed" status?
A. As part of the review process, we will identify the version of the item being reviewed and the version of DotNetNuke on which the review occurred. The tables below lists the minimum re-testing requirements for both modules and skins.
| Module Reviews |
| Major module releases |
| Major DotNetNuke releases |
| 24 Months following last review |
| Skinning Reviews |
| Major DotNetNuke releases |
| 24 Months following last review |
Q. If I am already a Benefactor, do I have to pay the same price for reviews?
A. We are planning to offer special promotions for members of the Benefactor program once our introductory pricing period is complete.
Q. Will DotNetNuke provide support forums for reviewed modules?
A. We have created a new forum for asking questions about the review program, but we do not plan to offer support for modules. We feel that module and skin support is best when it is handled by the vendor who created the product. In fact, one of the guidelines specifies that the vendor must provide a support channel so that users can get their questions answered. We will leave it up to each vendor to determine the appropriate communication medium for their customers.
Q. Will DotNetNuke hold a copy of the sourcecode of reviewed modules in escrow?
A. Tier 1 of the DotNetNuke Review Program does not require the vendor to submit sourcecode, and therefore we will not be escrowing sourcecode at this time. If this feature is desired by enough users, we may offer a program along this line in the future.
Q. Can I get copies of the review reports for a module?
A. As part of the review process, we create a document which details the results of every test performed. This document is provided to the vendor to aid them in future development. The vendor is free to share their report as they see fit. We will publicly publish the pass/fail results** for every product which passes testing, but will not provide the detailed results.
**NOTE: Test results will be displayed on the Review Verification page which is accessed by clicking on the DotNetNuke Reviewed Logo provided to the vendor. The initial release of the verification code does not display all test results, but will be amended soon to include this information.
Q. If I purchase a reviewed product and believe it passed in error how do I let you know?
A. If you are having a problem with a product which you believe was passed in error, please send an email to the Marketplace Administrator and we will re-evaluate our review. All products are tested in a clean DotNetNuke installation and may not work exactly the same in a live environment due to potential conflicts with other products or as a result of misconfigured DotNetNuke installations.
