How to avoid Page refresh

in my page i have leftpane, the leftpane is again divided into three sections : leftpanetop, leftpaneMiddle and leftpaneBottom. in one of the leftpane (say leftpaneTop) we have putted one module which is for poll. this Module we have purchased from OnyakTech vendor. There is a vote button for giving poll and when user clicks on vote button, the whole page is getting refreshed . I want only leftPanetop Section to be refresh or update. is there any way  to achieve this ? I have already checked the option present Host>>Extension>>Edit Module Definition>>Enable partial rendering .

Chris' answer is that the module you are using requires a modification.  You will have to ask the module vendor to do this.

  • ok, Joseph..now i got chris's point ..can you briefly guide me that what modification i need to do in source code to take the advantage of partial rendering. - pranavkumar001 8/17/2012

The module you are using must be updated (it's source code) to take advantage of partial rendering (or another method) to make things work the way you want.
