Where do I upload new scripts for DNN on my server?

Hello all,

I had some guys on Elance configure a Paypal module for me to use with DNN. I think it somehow uses the YAP Email Manager also (?)

They sent me two scripts that need to be uploaded to my server DNN database. WHere do these files go?

Bill

Re: Where do I upload new scripts for DNN on my server?

Billu,

I'd expect your Elance contractors to give you full installation details!  If not, don't pay them! ;)

I'd need some more information - lots of specifics about what sort of configuration they did, what sort of script or module they created for you, what issue you needed solved, etc.

Hmmm, If you're just asking where to run an SQL script - you can do that in the 'host' admin menu, under the SQL menu option.  Or if you own the server, you can use SQL Server Management Studio.

Cheers, Lance

Re: Where do I upload new scripts for DNN on my server?

You had best get your instructions from the folks that provided you the scripts.

There is an interface for running scripts on the database under Host | SQL ... but I don't recommend you use it unless you are very confident of what you are doing. Would not be a bad idea to back up the database first, also.

But they should be able to tell you what you need to do, and provide good advice on how to do it safely.
