Re: Product multi choice

The store module is really great! I really appreciate all you and the other DNN coders do for us in your "free" time (as if that really existed, right?)  !!!!!!!

I agree with the others' comments, product options is necessary! Entering each separate product is very time consuming and tedious (especially because of the lack of options). I sell candles, soaps, essential oils and scented aroma oils. They all need a choice of scent, and the candles also need a choice of wax and color (I could live with just 2 options, for scent and color). I just set up my site today, but I spent about 1 hour installing and setting up the store, then the rest of the day entering products, and don't even have 10%of what I want entered in the way of products. (I don't even want to think about the planned additions of bath & body items.....ughhhh) It would be really great to have a way to put options in a drop-down box in each product.

Another suggestion that would be extremely helpful is a way to clone or copy products, so at least I wouldn't have to enter each product manually or have to keep copying and pasting each description, etc.

I know you are already working on populating the checkout info from the user registration information, any ETA on that?

The last thing I want to mention is the fact that the special pricing option is always closed, is there a way to keep it expanded (that I haven't seen yet) so I don't have to click on it every time? Maybe some sort of check box setting, special pricing expanded (or not)?

Again, my sincere thanks for all you do!

Re: Product multi choice

I agree this is an essential feature for any E-Commerce implementation. It is also quite complicated to add and very difficult to keep from making the admin interface to confusing to use (see Catalook as an example of a terrible admin interface for adding options). Has there been any movement on this feature?

As for requirements for the feature, I'd also want to be able to enter a different SKU for each product/option combination, the ability to increase the price for a given option, and the ability to increase the weight for each option, and the ability to specify inventory for each product/option combination.

Then of couse, you'll also need a way (preferably using AJAX) to display to the user changes in price and SKU based on the option selected. Shipping will need to account for changes to weight based on options selected. The cart will need to be able to display the selected options.

Re: Product multi choice

Hi, I would also like to speak up for this option being added. Specifically I have a couple of online shops that require item options (modifications etc...) that affect the price. Being able to customize these options would also be important so that items can be personalized by the customer with their own wording.

Re: Product multi choice

It sounds like there is a strong demand for this feature.  When will this be implemented.

I agree that without this feature, the shopping cart module cannot be used for many of the sites that need it ... mine included.
