Re: Select a file under the Portal root

Will

That seems to be user documentation. Is there any developer documentation?

What is the property to ready the select file and file path from the control?

Thanks

Simon

Re: Select a file under the Portal root

Ok, I'm getting somewhere.

I can see that the ctlFileBrowser.Url gives me the only useful info which is Fileid=150.

Now I just have to work out how to find out what file that relates to.

Re: Select a file under the Portal root

For all those wanting to know how to do it (or at least one solution) I ended up checking the urlcontrol.ascx and getting the control names of the dropdownlists

So I can do

CType(ctlFileBrowser.FindControl("cboFolders"), DropDownList).SelectedItem.Text to get the folder, and
CType(ctlFileBrowser.FindControl("cboFiles"), DropDownList).SelectedItem.Text to get the file

Re: Select a file under the Portal root

Sorry that I didn't get back to you in time.  I would have suggested that.  I am glad you figured it out - and more importantly, posted it for all to see.  Thanks!  :)
