Import Users and Forum posts from aspplayground.net?

I REALLY want to move to DNN for a site I run, but I've been told by the musician that I run the site for that during my site redesign that it's a requirement that users do not have to re-register and that we loose no posts from our 5 year old aspplayground.net forum.

I've done a lot of searcing around the net and here but I've yet to see anything that will import my users and forum into DNN.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Mike

Re: Import Users and Forum posts from aspplayground.net?

If you can export your users from the existing application and convert the data to an appropriately formatted XML file, you can use this script from John Mitchell to import them into a DotNetNuke installation.

Moving forum posts is certainly a more daunting job.  I'm aware of some tools for moving messages into ActiveForums, but I am not aware of tools for moving data into the DotNetNuke forums module.

Thanks. I posted over at active forums site also, so we'll see what they come back with.  Getting the users in is a big first step so thanks for the link to that script!
