Enable SSL

Where is "Enable SSL" stored in the DotNetNuke database?

Re: Enable SSL

I'm not sure if this is the case for 4.8.4, but I believe it used to be in the dnn_HostSettings table. (Although it could be for SMTP maybe?)

Re: Enable SSL

SMTP SSL settings are specified at the portal level, and are stored in the HostSettings table.

Page SSL settings are portal-specific, and are stored in the ModuleSettings table (relevant SettingNames are {'SSLEnabled', 'SSLEnforced', and 'SSLURL'}.

If you've upgraded from a pre-SSL version of DNN or have not yet specified values for these keys, they may not yet exist in the table.  They default False and are written upon configuration.

Re: Enable SSL

Hope you don't mind me bolting on a query to your thread but I'm not sure whether I'm setting up my SSL incorrectly or whether it's a bug.

I've added SSL to my portal and enabled SSL on a page used for e-commerce checkout.  The problem is that when I navigate back to a page which shouldn't be SSL enabled, the site keeps me in a secure environment.  I.e.

Navigate to home - no SSL
Navigate to forums - no SSL
Navigate to checkout - SSL enabled
Navigate back to forums - SSL still enabled

Is this a bug with how DNN switches back to non-SSL pages, or have I failed to set something up correctly?
