Reading mail in DNN

Hello,

We are currently in the proces of switching from an old CMS to DNN. However, I'm missing the possibility to read your mail in DNN.

What I'm looking for is very simple (it was a few lines of code in PHP):

  1. You log into your DNN
  2. DNN uses your login/password info to authenticate against your pop3 mailserver
  3. In a container/module you see your last 5 Emails. Clicking these Emails will result in visiting your webmail (without re-authenticating)

This only works if your DNN username/password are the same as your Email username/password. But that doesn't have to be a problem if you let both software authenticate to an Active Directory.

Does anyone know if a module like this exists? I couldn't find it on snowcovered.

Thanks,

Richard.

Re: Reading mail in DNN

That is a pretty cool idea for a module.  I have never heard of one.  However, after a quick search, I found this one:

http://www.dotnetnukerocks.com/tabid/2677/Default.aspx

Due to the last date it was updated, I am guessing that it is probably not compatible with the most current versions of DNN.

There is also this one, but it looks like it is supposed to work in conjunction with other modules:

Other than that, I cannot find anything else.  Maybe someone else knows of one.
