Hi:

When using UserInfo.IsSuperUser that will give you if the user is the host or not.

Is there a way to know of the logged in user is an admin? I know I cna create a small method that checks the user Id against the db to see if he is part of the Admins, but is there a property to use?

Thanks,

If PortalSecurity.IsInRoles(PortalSettings.AdministratorRoleName) = True Or PortalSecurity.IsInRoles(PortalSettings.ActiveTab.AdministratorRoles.ToString) = True Then...

Re: Logged User

Avatars are assigned directly to the user, they are not role based. At present we don't have an easy mechanism to manage them (ie a custom table for mapping roles to avatars). This is planned for the future, at that point this will be looked at again.
