Another Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 

Ok, I must be doing something wrong, my site works most of the time but just clicking around on my modules or the default ones in any mode edit or view I get this error once in a while. Sometimes I can hit refresh and it works sometimes I have to close the browser and go back in a bunch of times. I started out in the File Mode running my application from vs2005 web browser then I switched it to IIS which seems to help some but anyone have ideas? oh and the site performance is flaky too, it'll be fast for a while then take forever which is usually when I get the errors.
