Cannot Login after MSSQL 2005 Upgrade

We recently upgraded our DNN database from MSSQL 2000 to MSSQL 2005.  After the upgrade users cannot login.  Users just get the standard "Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive" message and then eventually their accounts are locked out.  I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting this, but it is a super high priority for us.  Any ideas?

Have you amended the connection strings in your web.config file?

Actually, looking at your message it looks like more of an operating system/IIS message.

Re: Cannot Login after MSSQL 2005 Upgrade

Found the problem with some direction from leupold (Thank you!!!).  It looks like the upgrade changed my MachineKey somehow.  I switched this to the one from a backup web.config and all is well!

I would like to publically state that I love the DNN community!  it is 5 AM EST and I got helpful replies from two different people.  Amazing!
