Hello ,

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

I get exactly the same error message in my web-browser when I try to load the default page after having copied a fully developed solution from my PC (XP Pro) to my website. The solution worked just fine when develping and testing on my PC - no I get this...

You must make sure that you are connecting to the proper SQL Server and that you have enabled "remote connections" via the Surface Area Configuration wizard which is part of SQL Server 2005
