Good day.
I am very new to networking windows, since all the work is done before in other operating systems. Now I am working with a windows system and started working with DotNetNuke, but my little experience has me mad because I was unable to install DotNetNuke in a hosting windows. I will say what I have done so far: I created a database SQL Server 2005 and a user, depending on the tools provided in the hosting service; climbed files DotNetNuke_04.07.00_Install to hosting and I modified the file web.config on the line <add key = "SiteSqlServer" value = "Server = (local) \ localhost; Database = nameDb_DNN; uid = name_admin; pwd = admin;" />

But even with the indications that I have followed the tutorials found, the facility has not worked.

It could help me, please?

you need

  • to adopt both occurrences of db connection string in your web.config file
  • adjust file system permission for the virtual user to be able to create and delete files and folders (please contact your hosting provider, how to achieve this)
  • setup web site configuration appropriately (again ask your hosting provider)

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
