Thanks for the suggestion Sabastian. I have not edited or modified the program other than the web.config file and for that I used instructions from DiscountASP.Net suggested by the DB manager of my host . I am on shared hosting with a big discount host that uses the h-sphere control panel. I have tried to tweak my ftp upload and the web and account setting that I have control of. I had DNN 3.4.6 on ASP 1.1 running in the past with the help of an experenced DNN  web master but I'm going it alone now. All suggestions are appreciated. No user group listed in north east Indiana so I'm trying to start one. Thanks Joe F.
