dnn 4.8.4 installation on windows Server 2003 

hi,
i'm newbie in DNN, recently i have download DNN 4.8.4 install package. Then i have thru a lot of installation guides.

my question: i want to move/install DNN 4.8.4 into prodution web server / non-virtual directory.

wat was i did:
1. Create DB - successful
2. Extract and make changes <connection string> on web.config - done
3. ISS - create Virtual Directory - installation complete & accessible.
4. add http alias logged as host. admin > site setting > add http alias (http:mydomain.com) - successful
5. create new web site, point directory into DNN folder.
6.Browse DNN website - Failed! and also my url is point as http://localhost/dotnet/ not as http://mydomain.com

p:/s: am i doing wrong, pls help me..

You need to add a host header record for the new website you created > http://mydomain.com. Also, I would think you would need to get rid of the virtual directory site after setting up the new website as it may be configured to point to the http://mydomain.com.

hi paul,

thanks for replied,
i checked my host header (ISS 6) and it null, maybe it is my mistake to skip the field at first.
after i added the host header (mydomain.com) and rid off the virtual directory, the website can be browsed.

Unfortunaely i got some problem whereby i cannot login by clicking the login button but other link such www.dotnetnuke.com and other are functions.

it's getting weird for me, any idea?
