connectionString for SqlDataProvider error 

Hello,

I've tried installing 3.2.2 on both an XP dev machine and a Win2k3 server machine both running SQL Server 2000 SP4 and on both machines I get the following error:

Error Installing DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 03.02.02

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

Here is my connection string from my web.config file:

"Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;UID=DotNetNukeUser;PWD=DotNetNukeUser"

I've tried changing the server from (local) to my actual SQL Server name and that didn't make a difference, same error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you cannot connect to sql, it is the db name, server, uid or pwd giving you problems.  Make sure you are changing the SiteSqlServer connection string too.

I understand that it has to be one of the parameters but the connection string I pasted into my original message is right from the SiteSqlServer entry in my web.config file and I've verified each of the parameters (several times).  Is there any good way to test a connection string to see exactly what is failing?  The message I get just says that it failed...

Does the users specified in the Connection String have Dbowner privileges for the Database "DotNetNuke"?
