Re: Menu Items Disappearing

Christoc,

At first it appeared to be related to 'pages' that where using SSL, but the latest error log entries speak otherwise. I say this because the admin and SSL pages (not mutually exclusive) used a slightly different skin variant. I have since ruled out this by changing the skin entirely and the same results insued.

So, in short...any answers?

Re: Menu Items Disappearing

I am having major issues with a production that is in the first real live testing now. Up until now, there were no issues with testing. Now with as few as 5 people testing the application, it is crashing a couple of times an hour with these type errors in the log. I saw a reference to changing the UnsupportedFeatures for Desktop modules from -1 to 0. I did have 1 module that had -1 and I fixed that last night, but I am still getting these errors.

We thought it might be an AJAX issue or something so we have turned partial rendering off and still get these errors.

I am on the phone with my customer who is trying to run 60 students through this assessment application, but it is difficult as it keeps crashing a couple times an hour.

Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Re: Menu Items Disappearing

Hi

So far this has happend twice once on my new.salaro.com on 4.5.5 and today on a big site we have developed for a customer. Today was the launch date and BOOM this happend. A little embaressing.

The only solution on both cases was to restart the server and all came back. This is no concilatoin as i am sure you need a better solution to the heart of the matter

Re: Menu Items Disappearing

I'm still trying to track this down.

I thought this had to do with Caching, so I turned off caching on the site we're having problems with but it continues to occur.

Anyone else having any luck?

Re: Menu Items Disappearing

This is also a problem for me, as of today. I noticed in the event log that the application shut down,

The AppDomain shut down because of the hosting environment.

Then a couple of scheduler exceptions

Then the Application Started back up.

The symptoms seem to be that all the menu items disappear, except the home page. If i click on a link to another page, I get an index out of range error. This is very concerning to me, especially since I cannnot find ANY reason for this to happen, and there is NO issue logged in gemini.

Any luck with 4.6?
