How do you upgrade from 3.2.2 to 4.x

There have been a lot of questions floating around about errors upgrading from 3.x to 4.x.  Unfortunately there have been few answers.  I love this product, and I really like the new version (4.0.2) BUT if you cannot upgrade your existing site without losing settings, data and user accounts then I don;t see many people upgrading to the newer versions.

So, to all you DNN experts out there, the question I pose to you is this: How do you upgrade from 3.2.2 to 4.x without any loss?

I await any and all solutions with baited breath...

Bump... big style.... I've got a few v3.x sites and would love to know a step by step procedure for upgrading. I don't want to move away from DNN as it's an excellent concept, but as a non .net expert I can't find a way to do it and may have to find an alternative.

Can we keep this thread moving forward?  I am curious about the upgrade path from 3.x to 4.x as well.

I'm assuming that because the Dotnetnuke.com site hasn't upgraded from 3.x to 4.x that the upgrade for existing DNN portals is fairly difficult. I think the core team will announce sometime soon the best practise to upgrade.

I finally found a helpful document in the 4.x downloads area of this website.  It does look like a fairly elaborate process.
