Move from local server to remote server

I have an installation of DNN, I want to move from my local server to a remote server (at a Web Hotel).

I have copied all the files and changed the connection string.

I have also changed the HTTPAlias (in the table PortalAlias) from "localhost/mywebsite/" to "mywebsite.com".

But when I am trying to connect to "www.mywebsite.com", it changes the URL back to "localhost/mywebsite/".

What is wrong?

Thanks...

Re: Move from local server to remote server

Morten,

Always remember (and sometimes I still forget) to restart the application after you modify the portal alias table manually. One easy way to do this is by modifying the web.config file with an arbitrary change.

Hope that helps,

Ian
