SQL error in browsing the default page

Hi,

I download the DotNetNukes install source code. I built the website, created the database using the mdf file provided and changed the Connection String in the web.config file.

When i browse the default.aspx page i get the error, "The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist". I re-created the database and checked the Connection String. It looks fine to me,but i still get the same error.

Can anyone provide some help on how i should go ahead with solving this issue?

Please reply at your earliest.

Thanks in advance,

Sneha

Re: SQL error in browsing the default page

Hey Sneha,

I'd suggest starting over (because I can't tell exactly what happened) -- but you shouldn't even need to modify the connection string if you are using SQL Server Express and the MDF that comes distributed with the application - the connection string should be set properly already. Maybe try taking that approach first.

Take care,

Ian
