reinstall

If I want to reinstall DNN 4.8.2 is it simply a case of re-running the installer url?

thanks

Re: reinstall

what exactly is your problem? The installer will do database modifications based on installed version only, i.e. run necessary upgrade scripts.

If you want to start from scratch delete DNN files and database, and start installation from the beginning.

Re: reinstall

Thanks Sebastian

The core of my problem is the standard install hasn't worked - have a look at www.dmcdd.co.uk/dotnetnuke482. You'll see that there are no modules present.

Whilst this may work okay I don't want to risk having to face problems further down the line....so I thought a reinstall would be best.

Any advice you can offer would be gratefully received.

thanks

Mike

Re: reinstall

if there are no modules listed in the avaílable modules dropdownlist list of the control panel (especially Text/HTML needs to be present) I agree, that reinstallation would be the best option to continue. Delete all files in your installation directory tree and remove the database, then start from the scratch.

Re: reinstall

Cheers Sebastian - thought this the best approach.
