'System.Web.UI.Design.HtmlIntrinsicControlDesigner' to type 'System.Web.UI.Design.ControlDesigner'.

I just installed the Standard.zip and when I installed into my directory, everything went successfuly.  When I went back to my Visual Studio 2005 Express, I tried to open the Default.aspx and I received an error stating:  "

Error Creating Control - form

Unable to cast object of type 'System.Web.UI.Design.HtmlIntrinsicControlDesigner' to type 'System.Web.UI.Design.ControlDesigner'.

* I have searched several forms and I cannot find the solution, because all the forms end with (I will keep looking for the answer).

If anyone knows what I have to do, to get it to work with Visual Studio 2005, I would appreciate the support.

Thanks,

AJ

Re: 'System.Web.UI.Design.HtmlIntrinsicControlDesigner' to type 'System.Web.UI.Design.ControlDesigner'.

I believe this error message is normal if you try to open default.aspx in design view as there is no designer available for this custom override of the form class. As a DNN website or custom module developer there would be no good reason (except curiosity) to open default.aspx in design or source view as changes to core files are seldom if ever necessary and once changed will make later upgrades difficult.

What is it that you are trying to do? Have you already gotten a successful install of DNN? Did you use the source or install version?
