DNN 5.0 RC2 Login Problem

Hi,

I did a fresh install on my VPC of DNN 5 RC2 and the install went fine with no errors, but i get an error when trying to login:

A critical error has occurred.
Method not found: 'System.Collections.Hashtable DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfigBase.get_ModuleSettings()'.

My environment is Vista Ultimate in a Virtual PC with SQL 2008 Express. DNN 5 added as a new website running in Integrated Pipeline Mode (Default App Pool)

I have tryed several methods of installing DNN 5, but i get the same login error every time. DNN 4.9.0 installs just fine no matter how i install it.

Here are some of the other install metods i have tryed:

Added DNN 5 as an application under default website, SQL express database login set to windows authentication, Default app pool
Added DNN 5 as an application under default website, SQL express database 2005 compatibility mode, SQL authentication, Default app pool

The only thing i have not tryed yet is classic asp.net app pool, which, unless i am wrong, i don't think would make a difference in this case.

Thanks

Gary

There are some problems in this area of active directory/auth providers with RC2 I believe , search for "auth" here:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/RoadMap.aspx?PROJID=2

And check out this issue:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=8813&PROJID=28

You are going to have to test this under RC3 (or maybe later versions) I think.

Well might as well promo one of my DNN sites as I'm here: http://www.snasty.co.uk
