red alert icon appears in each section

I just installed the dotnetnuke 4.0.3 on an XP box with the sql server on Win 2000

It installed and ran through the installation, but when I click the lick at the bottom to go the the

default.aspx page - there are red alert icons in each section, except site navigation

and an eror mesage - An error has occurred ( in red type )

An error has occurred.
Error: Products is currently unavailable.

How do I get rid of the red alert?

Thanks

Re: red alert icon appears in each section

The big red X points to a picture file.   Right click the Red X and click properties and see where it is trying to pull the picture from.  Then check and make sure that the images are in that location.

Note... Often times when I have an install on XP, I get the Red Xs, for images.  When I move to a full server enviroment, 2000 or 2003 then I don't get the Red Xs anymore.

Make sure you have completed both connection strings in the web.config.  There are two connection string settings, the second is used to backward compatability with older modules.
