4.4.0 unable to create child portals
Modified By Bill Clone on 12/28/2006 3:01:11 PM)

Can you please try to create child portals on your local machine with DNN 4.4.0?

I had no problem with DNN 4.0.2, and I need to be sure there's sumthin wrong on my machine.

Thanks.

Re: 4.4.0 unable to create child portals

it is not the first time I have this question .. I cannot create child portals... on my last installation of dnn 3.1 something it would create a portal and it was totally empty one without any modules , totally useless and impossible to work with, on my new installation of dnn 3.2 it gave me constant error of mistyped password, and after upgrade to 3.3 it says "A User Already Exists For the Username Specified. Please Register Again Using A Different Username."

and I am puzzled on this question HOW to create child portals ( by the way I got 1 child portal created somehow but unable to create more) and what is wrong here...

what are your problems? maybe something similar?

I finally succeeded in installing 4.4.1 Starter Kit.
The only thing I changed was to choose "http" instead of "file system" during the first step of the install.
It enabled me to create child portals.

But then I noticed that several DLLs were missing in DNN 4.4.1 Install and Starter Kit versions.
Will this be corrected soon in a new version?
Can we just copy-paste the missing files from source version to get our DNN 4.4.2 future version?
