frustrated, plz help 

trying to install DNN4 and I get different errors each time i try to run it. I was getting SQL Connectionstring error which got fixed itself, i dont know how and then i get this error:

Cannot create/shadow copy 'DotNetNuke.ASP2MenuNavigationProvider' when that file already exists.

and sometimes i just get a blank page saying "Page not found" pointing to http://localhost/website

and also once it did install it and i could view the first page but then clicking any button would give me a nullreferenceexception error in "settings.cs"

i have repaired .net framework 2 installation and reinstalled sql express but dint help. How can i find out whats causing the problem?

please follow strictly the installation instructions and if there are still issues, please post the error message in this thread.

thx for the response. Here is what i did, i deleted all the files i was using, deleted the virtual directory and then extracted the source.zip file and made the new virtual directory as mentioned in the installation guide. its working now but i wonder what i missed last time ..hmmmm...
