You don't have permission to see the files on the site. 

I installed 4.7.0 this weekend and the main banner/image for the portal and the vendor images do not show. I get the X box of the vendor image with the alt text. Then when I try to redifine the images, DNN does not provide a place reselect the image, instead I get the following message: 

You don't have permission to see the files on the site.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

This is an issue with the new software from what I can tell. There was a fix in the log for 4.7.0 for child portals and the vendors. My main portal at www.escoutroom.com is fine. But all the child portals including www.brutusreport.com has access to the file system issues.

Another follow up...

I disabled the vendors on www.brutusreport.com as this is a widely viewed site and it looked really bad. The main portal image is still not showing.
On another child portal www.efilmroom.com you can see the vendor image missing and the main portal image is also not showing.
Both child portals listed above should look like www.escoutroom.com, which is the main portal and works fine.

Hoping the core team fixes this issue fast. Waiting for 4.7.1.

Hello,

It was reported last year (I submitted it to dotnetnuke gemini) and I still have the problem with DNN 4.7.0
It is working with VENDORS (Admin menu), but not with VENDORS (Host menu)...

 

Original Thread  (the solution given in this thread must be applied for ALL folders to activate... Quite heavy...)
It would be great to have a global solution...
