Configuring SMPT on DNN

Hi there,

I've used the following to configure my SMTP

SMTP Server and port:               smtpout.secureserver.net:80 godaddy's server

SMTP Authentication:                  Basic

SMTP Enable SSL::                     unchecked

Username:                                    MyuserName

Password                                       MyPassword

When i hit the test button i received this error:

There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.

I know that I'm using the right settings since I use them for my pop3 email.

Does anybody have an idea?

Re: Configuring SMPT on DNN

Please note to use the SMTP setup within the Godaddy.com hosting accounts you only enter the SMTP host of relay-hosting.secureserver.net.  You do not need to enter anything else, nor any login information.

Re: Configuring SMPT on DNN

Dave,

The message sounds like they don't like the e-mail address that you are trying to send from, in this case it would be the host e-mail address that is defined for the host account.
