Leaving Site Warning

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to make all external links (or at least all ones in a links module) have a popup warning that the user is about to get redirected external content.  Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to make this happen?

Have a Happy Holiday.

Re: Leaving Site Warning

Hi,

I wanted to follow up with this post, as I'm a bit surprised not to have recieved an answer.  Did I post in the wrong place or is this just not something possible to do?

Thanks,

Andrew

Re: Leaving Site Warning

There are a few ways that you might be able to do this, you could possibly use JS in the actual link to add a javascript popup before the redirect.  However, I am not sure if the module will allow you to do that.

Otherwise you will need to custom write a module, or customize the existing module to allow that type of operation.

The link module wouldn't support a popup, so I would use text/html module.

and do this

onClick="window. )""

Re: Leaving Site Warning

I have seen a links module that does this, but the site seems to have vanished.. this is the only record I made of it: http://www.bestmodules.com/Modules/LinksModule/tabid/70/Default.aspx

Perhaps someone else knows what happend to Bestmodules?
