creating modules using vs2005

I've got a general best practices question.

I have  a dnn website created with many custom modules built in visual studio 2003.  I am in the process of upgrading the site to use visual studio 2005.  Using vs2003 I created seperate solution/project files for each custom module i created adding dlls, to make it work with dnn.  I am now wondering how the best way of creating 2005 modules is.  Should I create modules in the dotnetnuke website, or use the dnn starter kit?  i've found tutorials using the dnn starter kit, but wasn't sure what the best practices were for this.

I'm just learning how the vs 2005 infrastructure works, websites vs solutions/projects.

Any suggestions would be great.

Gregg
