Profile Properties - How to? documentation?

Does anyone know how to make a Dropdown list in the Profile properties?  A client of mine wants a couple profile properties that will be DropDown values and another as a checkboxlist -  Example's would be

How Did you find us?  --- with drop down values of "Web", "Radio", "Newspaper", "Your Mother", etc etc

Areas of Expertise? (CHeck all that apply)-- With a checkboxlist of "Doodling", "Whistling", "BeeBoppin", "Skaatin"

Is this possible with the Core Profiles?  Or is that limited.... more than these requirements?

Or do you recommend some decent alternatives? -- (Cheaper) Not ones with more functionality than needed.

Added Note: After successful registration - I need to redirect to a specific page... I know this is doable in DNN - so if there's another module recommended, I must be able to allow for that too.  And yes, I will have the profile required on Registration.

thanks!

Re: Profile Properties - How to? documentation?

You can add a dropdown to user's profiles with these steps:

 - log in as portal administrator
 - select user accounts from the admin menu
 - click the manage profile properties link at the bottom of the page
 - click the add new profile property link at the bottom of the page
 - select 'list' as the datatype
 - click next and you will be taken through the procedure of adding the list items
