Switching Database from 2005 Express to SQL 2000
I'm about to switch from my local testing server to a networked server and unfortunately have to switch database from my 2005 express db to what the server has which is SQL 2000. I've read some articles on it from what I've searched on the net and some people say that it's not possible, some some say it's an easy "generate script" but I keep heading into errors. is it really supposed to be this complicated to transfer tables from 2005 express to sql2000? I've never had so much problems with other databases as I've had with this Microsoft workflow!

Re: Switching Database from 2005 Express to SQL 2000

If you need to go back to the old 2000 Sql try to do the following:

In Express manager choose task - generate script for all ojects.

Make sure the target is sql2000 and script to file.

Then in enterprise manager, make a new database Tools/SQL Query Analyzer open the file and run.
