Re: FileSync Error...

Sabastian,

Is it recommended or not a severe issue if the files and folders tables are truncated?

I am hoping that the sync will repopulate the tables correctly.

Thanks

Re: FileSync Error...

I was able to Truncate Table Files and FolderPermissions but the Truncate Folders doesn't execute.

Re: FileSync Error...

you can securely truncate files and folders tables, if you are running DNN up to 3.3.0/4.3.0, BUT NOT FOR ANY VERSION LATER.

Since DNN 3.3.0/4.3.0, fileIDs and FolderIDs are used to reference files, if you truncate files table and resync, different IDs will be used i.e. you loose any link to any file and have to readd it.
