Add New User question..

Hi all,

Is there a way to provide certain users or roles with the ability to use the Add New User page without giving them full admin rights to the portal?

Thanks for any help or insight.

Chris

Re: Add New User question..

Once you've created a page, you can grant edit rights for it to any role. Then that role can create new pages below that page. If you assign edit rights for that role to all your top level tab/pages then they can add new pages to all of them.

Re: Add New User question..

Rob, thanks for the response but I think we may have a missunderstanding. I know how to grant or restrict access to certain pages via Roles. The page I am trying to give access to is the actual Add New Users page - normally this is only available to the admin or super login. I am trying to give a 2 - 3 users access to this page without making them admins or super admins thus giving them full control over the web site.

Maybe I am going about this the wrong way... would it just be easier to write my own Add New User page? Any ideas?

Thanks again for your time,

Chris

Re: Add New User question..

Oh I see.. of course.

Purchase WorkControl's User Manager. It's by far the best for this purpose as its the only one that lets you control exactly which roles your assigned users can work with. I've also found the developer to be productive and positive.
