Re: images not showing up

I am not sure why this happens but the problem appeared for me in dnn version 4.6.2 and is now occuring in 4.8.1. If you restart the application (under host settings) the logo will reappear.

I posted an entry quite a few months ago and no one responded. So maybe this isn't a widespread problem. it is annoying though.

Anyone have some thoughts on this?

Re: images not showing up

Several discussions and Gemini tickets have been dealing with this since late last year.

Upgrade your portal, avoid applying portal settings via Host/Portals, disable the scheduled file sync task if that is enabled, do a manual sync of your file managers under admin and host, re-apply folder permissions in the file managers even if they appear to be correct.

One or more of the above should deal with it.

Re: images not showing up

I have seen the the problem with almost all versions of DNN (I still have one site on 1.0.10).  But it has always, and I mean ALWAYS, been when I access the sites from inside the firewall.  In other words, on the same LAN where the server is.  I don't know, maybe when the connection is too fast something goes wrong in the cache management of the browser (IE, various versions).  Internally the client connects to the server at Fast Ethernet speeds.  This never happens when I access the sites from the outside.
