Application shutting down on its own

Hi,

I am getting application shutdown and application started messages in the event viewer quite frequently in a 24 hour period.

It says application is shutting down due to the hosting environment. I am running my own server and worker processes are set to recycle 3 times a day at 9am,3pm and 8pm.

I have 5 min monitor on the site.

SO, In my mind there shouyld be no reason for the APP to shutdown besides the specified 3 times.

Any ideas? anybody?

Regards

Amir

Re: Application shutting down on its own

There are many other factors that could affect the recycling of the worker process, including memory usage and other items from the configuration...

Examine all tabs of all IIS properties of all pools and all websites to ensure that no other triggers are active. Also, the IIS event log should indicate, in a message at the recycle time, what was requesting the recycle.

Re: Application shutting down on its own

Just Checked the server and found no messages regarding the App shutdown. App Pool recycles twice a day and the app is set to recycle 9 am, 3pm and 11pm.
