How do you store companies?  Do you store companies as user accounts?

Is there a module available like the UDT which will allow me to create a single table but to filter it for the different menu tabs on 'ALL', 'FINANCE' etc? The crippler is that each company profile has more than 30 fields. I've found several modules which look promising but the number of fields in each record is limited (below 30). Can anyone help please?

If you don't need all modules to appear on the same page, you can use 1 UDT as data entry form holding all records and 3 pages each with a shadowed UDT  (using the "copy existing module" option in control center or appropriate radio button in "copy from page section" on new page creation), which has a filter set in manageUDT (e.g.: [Type='Manufacturing').
