How do I change a Parent portal Alias? or how can I swap portal content?

This is a recovery from disaster thanks to the good support at iHostasp. But here is my issue now. My parent portal which is the one I want to see is pointing to the root and not my parent. Hope that makes sense. I need my domain alias to point to my parent and not my root but I can't change the alias that has now became my root. So, can I transfer all content to my root from my parent?

Thanks.

Re: How do I change a Parent portal Alias? or how can I swap portal content?

Now that was confusing.

Sounds like  you want to use an alias that is on site A and put it on site B.  If this is correct,  add another alias on to site A first (in addition to the current), exit, and then access site A using that new address.   Then you should be able to remove the old alias from site A and place it on Site B.   If I understood your issue, that might get you to the "root" of the problem.    Make sure you can access the site under the new alias before removing the old!!

You think it was confusing for you?

That did the trick and what was different about the way you said it vs the way I DID that the first time is that I was logged in using the alias I was trying to delete. Duh. Thanks for wording it so that I could see that. It's working now. I greatly appreaciate it!!
