Through a service of some kind (internal or external), your website can be accessed every few moments to keep it alive in IIS (in memory).   If the main domain is used in such a service, going to yoursite.com,  you will see the traffic in your DNN logs.   Since such a service can come to your site every 10 to 15 minutes, that is alot of useless data in the DNN logs.

If the service is going to the keepalive.aspx page....   yoursite.com/keepalive.aspx ,  the traffic is not shown in the DNN log.

If you are looking for a keep alive service, I do offer one.

Re: Keepalive

You can use a free utility like SiteUp available at http://www.xequte.com/cgi-bin/confirmdownload.asp?product=SiteUp&group=SiteUp&download=http://www.dijialbum.com/download/siteup.exe and their main site is http://www.xequte.com

I first modified the KeepAlive.aspx file to contain some unique text that identifies my site.  I changed the line that spits out the date and time:

<%=now%>

to

   ColoradoHandball.com OKAY at <%=now%>

After saving that file back to my site, I configured the SiteUp app and put the path to the KeepAlive.aspx file into the textbox where SiteUp asks you to "Specify the web site to monitor", like so:

   http://coloradohandball.com/main/Keepalive.aspx

Where it asks you to "Specify a word or phrase that will be found on the loaded page", I put the text I added:

   ColoradoHandball.com OKAY at

Then I set it to get checked every 3 minutes (my ISP dumps the site cache really fast).

 Great feature!

Re: Keepalive

I am testing multiple applications KeepAlive and this is the most effective. Do I have to add all domains of all instances?

What I have to indicate domain.com or domain.com/keepalive.aspx?

Thank you.
