Issue with _doPostBack

 have a question about the login for this website "smart-thinker.com"

Right now I am having an issue on my portal where I can not log in from some computers. my login link, and registration link are using  _doPostBack('dnn$dnnLOGIN$cmdLogin',") and this script never seems to fire. The page simply idles for a while then a IE gives me a 'Cannot display website' page

I noticed that I could login on this site where the links use the same javascript. Does anyone have an idea what/where the problem is?

I have also seen some sites that do not use the above script for login/registration, is there a setting in DNN?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Re: Issue with _doPostBack

Ok here is an update. I can bring up my login page by appending  /ctl/login/ to the url but then the login button reacts the same way as the login link button. This seems to only be an issue with my portal not any other. could it be something in the skin?

Re: Issue with _doPostBack

bump:
sorry but I am getting no where on this. also if i use the following (with the apporpriate opening and closing script tags)

type="text/javascript" src="<%= Page.ResolveUrl("DesktopModules/Repository/js/pngfix.js") %>

my browser will load the page, then once the js is fired, all .png images will become invisible. There is something odd about my portal setting but I have no idea what or where would define this.

It still defeats me that I can sign in on this site, but not my portal with the same sign in feature.

just to be sure I am using

@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="LOGIN" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Login.ascx"

and

dnn:LOGIN id="dnnLOGIN" runat="server" cssclass="login">

</dnn:LOGIN>
