TemplateTest.template is not a valid Portal Template File.

I have recently upgraded to 4.5.1  and have created a new template withour errors as I have done many times.

When I try to create a new portal with the template I get the following error and a stream of error indicators that goes on for many pages repeating the same pattern so I won't include the entire list.

Any ideas?

Mike

Re: TemplateTest.template is not a valid Portal Template File.

this is due to the the portal schema file has not been updated. I asked about this days ago with no answer yet (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/125232/scope/posts/Default.aspx). best thing to do is edit your template and remove the new element entries that do not exist in the old schema format and it will work.

Re: TemplateTest.template is not a valid Portal Template File.

Interesting.  In my case all of my OLD templates still work.  It is templates CREATED by 4.5.1 that do not work.

As for myself, I do not have the skills or courage to start tweaking the template file.

Core Members, please, if you are looking into this, even if you have not found the problem or solution, please let us know that help is on the way.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: TemplateTest.template is not a valid Portal Template File.

I've been working on the schema file myself, but I haven't been able to make it work yet. I have only been able to reverse the new templates to the old format. Still working on the schema file, will post back if I figure it out.

Re: TemplateTest.template is not a valid Portal Template File.

My templates created in DNN 3.3.7 don't work at all. I don't even get the dump of errors you have stated. I simply get a message

Error creating Profile Definitions

Where is the schema documented?
