NTFS Rights Question 
After installation, does the ASPNET user still need to have modify/write access to the directory tree, or does the app simply read from the database from here on out?

for normal usage, ASPNet only needs full access to the portals subfolder.

For module and language pack uploads as well as framework updates, it will need to other folders as well.
