Page Templates

I'm looking for info to help configure the page.template files.  I want to create a page template with specific modules and configured settings.  I'm using "Copy page" to accomplish this currently.

Re: Page Templates

When you add a new page, there's a dropdown for Page Template that currently has none and Default...  Default creates a page with a single text/html module in the Content Pane. <none> creates a blank page.   There are many options in the default.page.template file.  I'm looking for some kind of documentation on this feature so I can properly create a new template.

Re: Page Templates

To clarify what we're (Eric aka e63014 and I both work at Efficion) looking for, when you create a new page, it gives you the option to select a page Template. The current options are none and default. Default places a page with a Text/HTML module on it. We're hoping to add another page template option which has a Child Links modules with our particular settings in the left pane. We can do this with Copy Page stuff but it seems Page Templates would be cleaner.

Re: Page Templates

David,

simply create a portal template, compare it with the default page template and cut out, whats needed. save it with a proper name in template folder - done.

Sorry. there is currently no UI for creating page templates.
