Re: Page Templates

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem there's anyway to get non-standard module settings to be repopulated through Page Templates. i.e. if I want the Links module to display as a dropdown rather than a list, it doesn't seem this setting is saved anywhere in the templates.

Re: Page Templates

AFAIK it does, though any page specific (tabmodule) settings are skipped.

Re: Page Templates

In DNN 482 (development) I have created a page with certain standard modules, and I exported this to a template. I can see the template file in the portal \ templates folder. But when I create a new page, the templates are not visible in the dropdown for page templates.

How come?

Re: Page Templates

Has anyone worked out a way to get the page template option working?

We need to present portal administrators with a pre-formatted page when they click the Add Page link. We need a link module included in the template, which will reference the link module on our site's main portal home page.

At the moment, it seems the only way to accomplish this is to copy the home page and check the 'reference' option for each module. But we need to automate this process, so the user doesn't have to do any page copying or so on - they are just presented with a page with one editable text module and the other modules locked down.

Re: Page Templates

Could anyone post an example of a page template with a standard module?

For example : I would like to have a page template with an empty text/html module and an pre defined image.

Thanks in advance.
