Is it possible to change or assign a specific TabID to a Page?

Can't seem to find anything on this, I have a couple situations where it's desirable to assign a specifc TabID to the page, but I haven't found anything anywhere on this and I'm having trouble decyphering how TabIDs are assigned and stored.

If a specific procedure isn't documented, I would still appreciate any comments providing at least partial light on how TabIDs are created and stored.

TIA.

Re: Is it possible to change or assign a specific TabID to a Page?

TabIDs are generated as pages are added to the site. There are some that are constant (every Portal 0 that I've ever installed has had TabID=36) but I believe that's just how things work out with the install scripts. It's an auto-incremented field so you can't enter your own values in there.

Re: Is it possible to change or assign a specific TabID to a Page?

Understood how it works by default.

Am hoping that there is a way to perform surgery in the appropriate places to change the tabid. If there is no generally known method, I'm thinking of opening up the website in a Visual Studio Project and maybe in SQL Express Management, then do a global search on all instances of the tabid number that already exists... and manually changing.

u want to know how to change a tabid, or u want to change that it's set by default?

u can change it manually in the DB, u will find it in a table named "TabModules" .. if this wht u want

Re: Is it possible to change or assign a specific TabID to a Page?

if you remove the autoincrement from the tab pages, you will need to alter the stored procedure to create tabs as well, so it can assign a tabId (which is required and must be unique) by itself.
