Did you happen to be working with favicons when this happened?
If so, rename favicon.ico to favicon2.ico in the last portal you were working on, or all your portals if you have to.

Do you have S c a n A l e r t or Hacker Safe testing your domain? 

They hit my site about 1000 times a day for Hacker Safe daily certification and they just started a run when I was uploading a favicon.ico file. There might be something thay they are triggering that caused my site to go down with the same error that you folks are seeing.

I just happened to be uploading a favicon.ico file when the error above occurred. When I renamed the favicon.ico to favico2.ico my site came back online (~20 portals).

I don't know if the file manger was syncing, or if the Scan
