Splash page and Flash redirect to home page

Hi all...struggling with Flash & DNN.  Trying to setup a splash page that redirects to the home page at the end of the flash movie.

The movie is setup to redirect to the home page on the last frame with getURL("http://www.seamusmccaffreys.com/HOME/tabid/36/Default.aspx", "_self");

This works fine on a plain HTML page - http://www.seamusmccaffreys.com/portals/0/seamus.html

But when added to a DNN page the redirect does not happen - http://www.seamusmccaffreys.com/Splash/tabid/66/Default.aspx

Any ideas on why the redirect doesn't work on a DNN page?

Re: Splash page and Flash redirect to home page

Your bottom link did work correctly for me.

I hope (strongly, strongly, strongly hope) that the site visitors won't be forced to sit through the Flash each time they visit the site.  If I had to view it through its entirety on my second visit to the site, my 2nd visit would be my final visit.

Re: Splash page and Flash redirect to home page

Your second link http://www.seamusmccaffreys.com/portals/0/seamus.html doesn't redirect for me. It just stays on the page. Perhaps the wrong flash file?

Re: Splash page and Flash redirect to home page

okay well the page you said doesn't do the redirect does for me I'm afraid.... though I must echo the sentiments mentioned above what does the intro really add to the site other than demo the design tallents of the person who created it?
Do you expect users to wait and watch this are you giving them any facility to skip it?
Bottom line does the site need an intro as most users are not willing to wait and watch one if they are after specific bits of information like how to get to the pub or what special nights are on?

Sorry if that sounded harsh but generally the onlyu people who enjoy the intro are the ceo/owner of the company/site and the designer.
