E-Mail Problems with Version 4.08.00
Hi Folks,

I have started to experience e-mail problems. It seems to have started after I upgraded to version 4.08.00. No e-mails seem to be going to new registrants or to the administrator when a new user registers. My hosting company tried a registration and did get a new user e-mail but no administrator e-mail seems to have gone out. This site is using the private portal registration option. Another one with the public portal registration option seems to be having the same problem. It too was upgraded to version 4.08.00. The SMTP parameters in DNN seem to be set up OK for my hosting company and there are no DNN errors in the event viewers. There seem to be other posts on this forum on e-mail issues but they don’t match up exactly with my problem. I am guessing that this is some sort of configuration problem with SMTP. E-mail functions were working fine until now. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to version 4.08.02? Has anyone tracked down any specific problem and fix for this?

Thanks,
G. M.

Check the SMTP server settings in Host settings, sometimes it occurs, that those get lost during upgrades.
