Hi there i am trying to create a portal on the godaddy server so when ever i am trying that i am getting an error as

"Error configuring Child PortalAccess to the path '~\dnn\dnn' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.CreatePortal(String PortalName, String FirstName, String LastName, String Username, String Password, String Email, String Description, String KeyWords, String TemplatePath, String TemplateFile, String HomeDirectory, String PortalAlias, String ServerPath, String ChildPath, Boolean IsChildPortal)"

Re: protal creation on godaddy

Hey Mujahed,

Unfortunately on GoDaddy their support for DNN is pretty lacking.  I've heard plenty of horror stories from other DNN users about how their GoDaddy site stoped working all the sudden and GoDaddy.

The problem that you're having occurs when your DNN site does not have appropiate permissions to access the files.  In order to have this resolved, you will need to contact GoDaddy support and have them reset the permissions on your webiste.

Always glad to help,

Tony V.
