How to create such search function without writing a new module by myself...
Modified By Eric Peng on 3/30/2008 3:05:50 PM)

I want to find a quick way to implement the search function like this site..

http://www.plentyfish.net/

especially the age and within case.

This need some compare statement but seems not supported by XMod now.

Is it possible to do this with a module already exist?

Thank you~~

Try ListX module by Bi4ce, you can get it at snowcovered.com.  Requires some programming knowledge but if you were using Xmod, you would probably have no problem with a slight learning curve.   They are due to come out with an open source version in the near future if you are not in a hurry, but the current version is not all that expensive considering what you can do with it which is really only limited by your imagination.  And yes, it can definitely handle the type of search you are looking for.

You can also perform similar search functions using SQLGridSelectedView.  This is a free module available from www.tressleworks.ca.    /Paul

Hi Rick,

Where did you find the information that ListX will become opensource module? I didn't see anything about it in their forum.

I am prepare to buy one to study, if it will become opensource, maybe I can wait it..
